From HiGirls, a great summer-July-Cancer-Crabbie Treasury!


I was surprised and saddened, just a bit, to discover that delicious crabs aren't as popular here along the Jersey Shore as they were in Maryland.


Entire vacations, meals, cooking, weekends ... entire kitchens were planned around the obtaining, cooking and the consumption of crabs. (I miss Old Bay Seasoning).


Now I do like crab-feasts, make no mistake. If invited, I'll be the first one there, the last one to leave and I'll bring my own Old Bay and roll of paper towels. But, for my money? I'd far rather have a lobstah/corn on the cob/coleslaw/strawberry shortcake dinner, ocean side, ANY time.
