A Girl and Her Chicken

Thursday, March 12, 2009

I must be getting a reputation here. Maybe it's just the shop name. Maybe it's more that my poultry obsession is clearly visible to all who but only look.
Yes, I'm in another Treasury.  An openly chicken-ie one, with my sweet little Houdans.  "Houdan?", you say ... "wassa Houdan?"

This is a Houdan. And this is my sweet little hairdo-
Houdan's Treasury.  Now, tell me ... how cute it that?

The curator for this magnificent poultry-fied collection is the lovely Christine and her shop, CarmenAndGinger.

If you haven't stopped by there yet ~ you really should!  Her style is bright & fun & wonderfully vintage.

She's put together for her shop just the best mix of fashions, jewelry, home accessories from 1940's through the 1980's that is just so fun to browse.

Tell her I sent you ... and check out her chicken-ie stuff,  too ;)

To be very specific, that is a Mottled Houdan. They're relatively rare at poultry shows, and very cool to look at. Lovely print!
